LymeRIC – A Groundbreaking Pediatric Lyme Disease Study
LymeRIC (Lyme Registry in Children) is the first multi-center study focused on tracking how Lyme disease affects children over time. With Lyme disease most common in kids ages 5 to 14, this research fills a critical gap by enrolling children with suspected Lyme disease and following for 6 months to better understand persistent symptoms and support future prevention and treatment efforts.

About LymeRIC: Why This Pediatric Study Matters
While much of what we know about Lyme disease duration comes from studies in adults, children have largely been overlooked. LymeRIC will address this gap.
By enrolling children with suspected Lyme disease , this landmark study offers a comprehensive look at symptom patterns, duration, and severity for children with Lyme disease and those with similar symptoms who have an alternate diagnosis as well healthy controls. The study will also measure impact on quality of life using generic and disease specific measures. The insights gained will not only improve diagnosis and care but also strengthen the case for disease prevention strategies such as vaccination and tick avoidance education.
